There were sections of the river that had frozen and the ice had melted, refroze, melted again and then gotten lightly dusted in snow.
This was the winter that just kept on giving. Seeing this visual display I started thinking that it was hard to tell if it was a road or a river.
The morning was peaking over the trees and adding a shine to the ice. A few sketches, some camera shots and writing out visual pictures were all I could do...... it was to cold to paint. Back in the studio Morning Ice began.
