This painting was recently purchased for the Atlanticare Hospital in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Christmas Moon was accepted for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Artists Professional League, Inc. 2007 Open State Juried Fall Exhibition of Representational Art. This painting received the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Award.
How an idea comes about.....
The Bull on the Barn Restaurant in Cedarville, NJ has a great field. Sometimes when Kenny mows the grass there are these wonderful ruts left.....the waterway is the Nantuxent Creek. The Nantuxent comes in off the Delaware Bay. Realizing there was a full moon, I became a little obsessed with wanting to see it reflected on the Nantuxant. When I got to Bull on the Barn I remembered the great ruts and the idea for Christmas Moon was born.
